Hey I'm moving!

Hey the two people that follow my blog! One of you already knows, but I'm moving all of my general art stuff to a new blog! I'll leave this to either rot, or update with new goons stuff whenever I do that. Whenever that is.

Go to the Symphony or else!

Hey guys, here's the finished product of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra comic I've been working on! Those in Cincinnati should look for them to be distributed in the next coming weeks. Just remember to go to the symphony or else Kang's gonna smash you.

Drink and draw #1

So I haven't updated in a while. Ooops.

Here's what I've done lately, among working on my portfolio, and some pictures from last night's drink and draw. Also, I've been busy with a flier for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. It's a one-page comic featuring Kang, King of All Apes. It's for an advertising campaign that my friend put together (he's interning there) called Art for Art, using artists of varying media to promote the CSO. It'll be awesome.

Here's an updated version of that Old Crow drawing I did a few months ago. Colored in Photoshop.

This is what I do when I'm not here.

So I'm going to start putting up more non-goon stuff here, including my latest Architecture studio stuff, starting with this section perspective. I'm really using this as a host for now, I'll probably explain it more later.

ORIGINZ

Yeah, so this is the very first strip that's going into my comic class's Goons! book. It explains everything. I referenced the Dudeism Pyramid, sorry Jamie.

WHOA!

Here's the first of the latest Goons! from Cripple Con II. The title speaks for itself. I'm a retarded person.

Almost there...

I'm going to be beasting 5 new Goons! for my multipanel comic class before I print a booklet of all of the strips I have. If you want one, let me know. This will include a special origins strip!

In the mean time, enjoy some Old Crow.

Haven't updated in a while

Hey folks! I've been busy with my senior Architecture studio these past two quarters, so I haven't gotten a chance to post up anything in a while. HOWEVER, I have four new Goons! in the process of being drawn, featuring shenanigans taking place at Cripple Con II. But to keep you guys satiated until I get those up, here's some art I have been able to complete recently.

Ballbarians! My bowling team shirt design for this quarter, featuring such warriors as (from left to right): Kronan (Eric Lekrone), Skullsplitter (me), Manawar (Drew Manahan), Grogg (Greg Lutz), Ballbarella (Joan Herman), and Red Beard (Adam Stoekle). We got it printed already, shit rules.

some more older crap:
Bear Pope

John Wayne

Sir Youngin

Vincent Price via tablet

But yeah, I'll get on that Goons soon.

Hey Y'all! Imma get me some a' that Rathzzdangoe!

Hey dudes, and grim new years! After the motivational factors of the last comic stopped nagging, I decided to make another one. I should do these more often.

This too takes place in Waukegan, Il., but only features Retard Strength and the meeting of a loyal fan. Enjoy yourselves, bitches.

Fucking finally.

So it's been a while since I've put up a new one, but I've been busy. Eat me. I'm finished with my coop so I should have time to make new ones before school starts back up in January.

This is part of a tale of my experience in Waukegan, Illinois when I went to visit Jon and Sean at Six Fags Gay Americum. Hilarity ensued. I met some rad folks and stole a parking sign. There were Mexicans, too! I might make another one later, who knows?

Anyway, this is dedicated to Robin for bugging me to make it for so long, as well as Sean, Jon, Eric B, Julie, Chris, Kevin (Kevin likes Witchfinder General too!), Dan Hood, and Sergio and his brother Juan.

I'll see you Chicago dudes at CrippleCon 2.

Meanwhile...

So Youngin and Sean Casey moved to Chicago. What big shots, huh? I get a text from Jon last week asking me to send a picture of Horgh. I guess this is what happened. Please remember I did this shit six years ago. Sean was there. Get your own ideas, jagoffs.

I love you guys and will see you this summer at Retard Strength's first and last DOOM EPIC show.

In B4 Werk

I'm about to start my coop with McConnel & Ewing Architects, Inc., so I figured I'd get one more comic in before much of my time is poured into my coop. It'll be fun, don't worry. Anyway, this one features my friend Tim (and Nick too, obvz). Tim's a funny guy. He's jewish, and likes hockey. And he isn't black. This is based on real events, with a dash of what could be. Enjoy.

-John

ps. if I take a while to get to the next one, sit tight - I'll put it up asap.

Don't trust your Sources...

School's almost over, so I'll have more time to devote to this. Maybe. Anyway, there was a time when somebody actually tried to frame me for pranking Jamie's house. This is the follow up from comic #3 for those who are really slow (I know you read this, Jon). Hopefully I can get a new one up some time this week before I start work.

You better make your mind up.

Nick and I always seem to start some sort of music project, play around with the idea for a few months, and then realize we'll never find anybody else to play with. And sometimes we just get tired of playing whatever. This is our story. But now, we're doing a stoner doom thing that has a chance of moving past the idea stage, so sick bro.

btw, I wanted to play with another way of doing the comic, so instead of doing it all in illustrator, I tried drawing and coloring it all in photoshop. I honestly think I like it better. Tell me what you think (and no, don't say "it all sucks" because I'll fight you).

First Apperience of James Ironside Rockwell.

I've been busy, so I had to put this one off for about a week. Sorry folk(s). But I've now had the time to finish it, so kewl. The comic today marks the first appearance of the Jamie Rockwell, along with two 'unknown' shadows moving across the land, causing mischief as they go.

Every skit comedy troupe has, what is known to the public as "the straight man". No, this is not a comment on his sexuality (much the opposite in this case, so I hear!), rather he's the poor soul on which the joke is set up and played. This describes Jamie's life as our friend. We love him.

Do you know this guy?

So this one's based on a true occurrence. I'll let you figure out which part of the story is slightly fabricated. A few things to note: Bill, the other dude that isn't Jon or me, is this fly cat from Buffalo that came in and worked with us last Summer. His eyesight's so bad that he's legally blind, but can draw like no other. Also, I'm Nicaraguan - Nicaragua isn't Mexico. You can see the confusion, obviously.

I'm still trying to figure out the layout of this thing, so bear with me.

Remember, I say a lot of shit.

I finally did it! I finally actually started Goons! like I said I would. If you're unfamiliar with the term 'goon', please refer to this here web page or go directly to this fucking pyramid (thanks bunches Jamie Rockwell). Or, you could just start reading my comics. That'll work too.

I say a lot of shit, and a lot of times, it's for my own benefit. Most of the time, really. So subscribe to this, or I'll sneak into your bedroom at night and take a shit on your floor.

- Sheik John Sebastian

Maybe I'll introduce the characters at some point, yeah? btw, I'm making a new title, so bear with me.
